To generate accurate astrological calculations, we collect the following categories of information when you register and use Astrovishtra:

• Identity Data: Full name and gender, used to personalise your dashboard and reports.

• Contact Data: Email address and optional phone number, used strictly for account authentication and critical account alerts — never marketing without consent.

• Astrological Data: Exact date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (including latitude, longitude, and timezone). This is the core calculation input for your Kundali.

• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and device information, collected automatically for security, fraud prevention, and platform optimisation.

2How We Use Your Birth Data

Specifically, your data enables: Kundali chart generation, 1-Year and 5-Year planetary transit reports, Soul Blueprint lifetime analysis, Kundali matching compatibility scores, and Prashna (planetary guidance) responses.

3Data Storage and Security

• Cloud Infrastructure: Your data is securely stored on Google Firebase Firestore, a GDPR-compliant cloud database with enterprise-grade encryption at rest.

• Authentication: Account passwords are handled via Firebase Authentication using bcrypt hashing. We never store plaintext passwords.

• Transmission: All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.3). We do not transmit birth data over unsecured channels.

• Limitation: While we use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We will notify you promptly in the event of any breach affecting your account.

4Third-Party Services

We work with a limited set of third-party service providers to operate the platform. These providers receive only the minimum data required to perform their specific function and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose:

• Payment Gateways: For processing wallet top-ups. They receive payment card details directly — we never store card information on our servers.

• SMS Providers: For OTP-based authentication only, if you register with a phone number.

• Google Firebase: For secure data storage, authentication, and backend infrastructure.

5Data Retention and Your Right to Deletion

We retain your personal and astrological data only for as long as your account is active. This ensures you can access all generated reports and your wallet balance at any time.

6Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information.

Users between 13 and 18 may use the platform for free features with parental consent. Purchases require a user to be 18 or older.

7Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and notify active users via email for any material changes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
